Account management gives you a defined point of contact and a regular routine, so account housekeeping happens on schedule rather than when something has already gone wrong.
Contract diary
Renewal and notice dates tracked so nothing is missed.
Invoice checking
Bills reviewed against expected charges and usage.
One point of contact
A single route for queries across sites and suppliers.
What account management covers
The scope is agreed in advance so you know exactly what is included. Most arrangements cover the routine administration that otherwise falls to a finance or facilities team.
- Maintaining a schedule of contract end dates, notice periods and renewal windows.
- Checking invoices against agreed rates and flagging unexplained variations.
- Raising and tracking queries with suppliers on your behalf.
- Recording meter details and ensuring readings are submitted where required.
- Supporting change of tenancy and site changes as premises open or close.
- Preparing a periodic summary of consumption, spend and upcoming decisions.
How we work with your team
We work alongside your existing finance or facilities arrangements rather than replacing them. Information flows in one direction from you in the form of bills, readings and instructions, and back in the form of summaries, queries and recommendations.
Where a decision is required, we set out the position and the options available. Authorisation stays with you, and any instruction is confirmed in writing before it is actioned.
What account management cannot do
It is an administrative and advisory service. We cannot overturn a supplier's credit decision, compel a supplier to accept a dispute we do not consider justified, or carry out physical works on a network.
Where an issue falls outside the agreed scope, or depends on a third party's decision, we will tell you rather than leave a task in limbo.
Who benefits most
Account management suits organisations where utilities are a distraction from the main business.
- Businesses with several premises and multiple contracts
- Landlords and property managers with tenant changes
- Facilities and finance teams with limited utility expertise
- Growing businesses that have acquired sites through expansion
- Organisations without a dedicated energy or utilities role
- Businesses wanting a regular review rather than an annual scramble
Eligibility and what to expect
Account management is provided on agreed terms and only covers the tasks set out in the arrangement. Supplier performance, network works and any physical service remain the responsibility of the relevant supplier or network operator.
